Large group hotel booking in Barcelona now goes hand in hand with coach planning. Since January 2026 the Zona Bus 4.0 system requires a paid daily permit to use coach stops and parking in central Barcelona, plus time-slot bookings at the busiest sights. Coach days must be fixed before arrival, and the hotel location decides how much of the program depends on those slots.
Rates follow events as much as seasons. Mobile World Congress (late February or early March) is the most expensive week of the year, and Integrated Systems Europe in February, Smart City Expo in November and a long cruise season also absorb large blocks. We check congress dates before quoting.

A group of 50 usually needs 25 to 30 rooms, mostly twins. In Barcelona the hotels that can block that many on one date are mainly the large modern properties around Fira Gran Via, Plaça d'Espanya and Diagonal Mar. Many Eixample and Gothic Quarter hotels are smaller. Outside congress weeks such as Mobile World Congress, blocks of this size are usually easier to place.
A few large hotels outside the old center have space for a coach to load, but most central hotels do not. Coaches use Zona Bus stops and parking with a €35 daily permit, or the park-and-ride areas at Camp Nou, Diagonal Mar, Bac de Roda and Can Dragó.
