What makes group hotel booking in Paris different

Large group hotel booking in Paris is less about finding rooms and more about matching the hotel to the coach. As of 2026 the four central arrondissements are closed to through traffic, coach parking is paid around the clock, and most hotels have little curb space. A hotel that looks central on a map can add an hour of daily transfers if the coach cannot stop at the door.

Demand swings sharply. Trade fairs at Paris Expo and Paris Nord Villepinte, fashion weeks, Roland-Garros and the Paris Air Show (June of odd-numbered years, next in 2027) can fill the 4★ segment months ahead, so we check your dates against the event calendar first.

Where tour groups should stay in Paris

  • Porte de Versailles and Montparnasse (15th and 14th). Large chain hotels with metro and tram links and quick access to the Périphérique ring road. Rates jump during big exhibitions at Paris Expo.
  • Porte Maillot and Étoile (17th). Convention hotels near the Palais des Congrès, a short ride to the Champs-Élysées. Congress weeks push prices up, and curb space is tight.
  • La Défense and Courbevoie. High-rise business hotels with large room counts and RER A trains to central Paris in about 15 minutes. Weekend and August rates are often softer because business demand drops.
  • Roissy-Charles de Gaulle corridor. Airport hotels with easy coach access and the lowest rates, but 45 minutes or more from the center in traffic. Best for arrival and departure nights.

Boutique hotels in the Marais or Saint-Germain rarely hold 25 twin rooms on one date.

Hotels for groups in Paris: where large groups stay

The 10 hotels listed on this page were chosen for group business: 430 to 1,022 rooms each, 5★ and 4★, with a group desk that handles rooming lists and one contract per block. The largest blocks for a full coach in Paris are at Le Méridien Paris Arc de Triomphe (1,022 rooms, Porte Maillot (17th)), Hyatt Regency Paris Étoile (995 rooms, Porte Maillot (17th)) and Pullman Paris Montparnasse (957 rooms, Montparnasse (14th)). Hotels of this size can usually hold 25 to 50 twin rooms on one contract, which is what a 45 to 50 passenger coach needs.

Corporate travel accommodation in Paris works the same way. Incentive groups, conference delegations and company trips get a group rate, one rooming list and one invoice, and the same hotels serve both markets. Hotels with meeting space on this page include Le Méridien Paris Arc de Triomphe, Hyatt Regency Paris Étoile, Pullman Paris Montparnasse.

Which is the best hotel for a group in Paris depends on the itinerary more than on the lobby: coach access, parking and the distance from the center decide how the day runs. Compare the hotels below by district and distance, add the ones that fit to your request, and the desk confirms group availability and the rate for your dates within 48 hours.

Indicative group hotel rates in Paris

The table shows planning ranges for group hotel rates in Paris per twin room per night with breakfast, not offers. City tax comes on top. As of 2026 it is €5.53 per adult per night in 3★ hotels and €8.45 in 4★ hotels, including the departmental and regional surcharges, and travelers under 18 are exempt. See how Paris compares on the group hotel rates page.

Indicative only. Final group rates depend on dates, room mix, board and release terms and are confirmed in the desk's proposal. Low season: Nov–Mar (excl. holidays, fashion weeks and trade fairs). High season: Apr–Oct (Roland-Garros, Air Show and major fair dates quoted separately).

Coach logistics: parking, drop-off and driver rooms

  • Low emission zone. The Greater Paris ZFE (inside the A86 ring) requires a Crit'Air sticker, including on foreign coaches; a Euro VI coach is Crit'Air 2. A 2026 law to abolish ZFEs was struck down by the Constitutional Council in May 2026, so the zone remains in force.
  • ZTL Paris Centre. Since November 2024 the 1st to 4th arrondissements are closed to through traffic, but coaches may enter to serve a hotel or venue inside the zone.
  • Drop-off and parking. Stopping to load passengers and luggage is free if the engine is off. Parking is paid 24/7 through the PASS Autocar system, with a pricier central zone (1st to 11th arrondissements).
  • Drivers. We book the driver a single room in the group hotel and confirm where the coach parks overnight, since few Paris hotels have space for one.

BCS Bus covers the zone in more detail in Paris ZTL for tourist buses.

Group types we place in Paris hotels

We place adult tour groups on multi-country coach tours, school and student groups (with chaperone singles near the students), choirs, sports groups traveling for Roland-Garros or the Paris Marathon, and incentive groups. For group meals, see Paris restaurants for large groups.

Sample itineraries with a Paris stop

  • London and Paris. A Channel crossing with the coach by Eurotunnel or ferry. See London group hotels.
  • Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam. About 500 km by road, often with a lunch stop in Bruges or Brussels. See Amsterdam group hotels.
  • Paris to Barcelona. Over 1,000 km, usually split with overnights in the Loire Valley, Bordeaux or Carcassonne. See Barcelona group hotels.

Group hotels in Paris: FAQ

Which Paris hotels take groups of 50?

A full coach of 49 to 55 travelers usually needs 25 to 30 rooms, mostly twins. In Paris that points to hotels with several hundred rooms, typically chain properties at Porte de Versailles, Montparnasse, Porte Maillot, La Défense and near Charles de Gaulle airport. Smaller central hotels often lack enough twin-bedded rooms, and we split a group only with your approval.

Is there coach parking at Paris hotels?

Very few Paris hotels have on-site coach parking. A coach may stop briefly outside most hotels to unload passengers and luggage with the engine off, then must move to paid PASS Autocar parking or an overnight coach park. Before we confirm a hotel, we check where the coach can stop, how far the group walks with luggage, and where the driver parks overnight.

How early should we block rooms in Paris for May–June?

Block Paris rooms for May and June 9 to 12 months ahead. Those weeks combine Roland-Garros, spring trade fairs, school travel season and, in odd-numbered years, the Paris Air Show, so large 4★ hotels near Porte de Versailles and Porte Maillot fill early. Requests sent six months out or later have far fewer options, often in outer suburbs or at the airport.

Can you book Paris plus the next stop in one contract?

Yes. Send the whole itinerary, for example London, Paris and Amsterdam, and we return one proposal covering every hotel with matching dates, room types, release dates and payment terms. You work with one contact for all cities. Each hotel still sets its own rooming list deadline, and we track those deadlines for you so nothing is released by mistake.

Do Paris hotels charge a group city tax?

There is no separate group tax, but every adult pays the Paris tourist tax per night. As of 2026 it is €5.53 in 3★ hotels and €8.45 in 4★ hotels, including departmental and regional surcharges. Travelers under 18 are exempt, which lowers the cost for school groups. Hotels collect the tax on top of the room rate, and our proposals show it as a separate line.

What are the best hotels for large groups in Paris?

For a group of 40 to 50 people, the most realistic blocks in Paris are at the largest hotels on this page: Le Méridien Paris Arc de Triomphe, Hyatt Regency Paris Étoile and Pullman Paris Montparnasse. Groups of 15 to 25 rooms have more choice, including smaller 4★ hotels closer to the center. We confirm availability, group rate and release date per hotel for your dates.

Do you arrange corporate travel accommodation in Paris?

Yes. Business groups, incentive trips and conference delegations in Paris are booked like tour groups: one request, a group rate, one contract and one invoice, with meeting rooms or a dinner venue added where needed. Send the dates and the number of rooms and the desk returns a proposal within 48 hours (working days).

Upload your itinerary. We return a group hotel proposal within 48 hours.
