Large group hotel booking in Berlin is mostly a question of dates and access. The city has a very large hotel stock, so a block of 25 twin rooms is usually available, but rates jump on trade fair days, and the whole area inside the S-Bahn ring is an environmental zone (Umweltzone). Every coach entering it needs a green emissions sticker, including coaches registered abroad. Alexanderplatz to Kurfürstendamm is about 7 km, so the hotel area decides how long your group spends on the coach each day.
Berlin also charges a City Tax (Übernachtungsteuer) of 7.5% of the net room price as of 2026. Breakfast and other extras are outside the tax base.
